Art Biography

Jeanette Randehed Kamphuis – was born in Helsingborg, Sweden, to a family of musicians and skilled artists.  Her father owned a printing company where she also subsequently had her first job as a graphic
designer.  At the tender age of eight, Jeanette won her first art competition using pastels.  At the age of ten, her life-long journey with oils began; at fifteen her teachers kept recognizing her talents and awarded her an art scholarship.  She furthered her art education variously in Scandinavia, Germany, France, Italy, South Africa, and the USA.  Jeanette got great artistic inspiration and education from her extensive travels but fell deeply in love with the Philippines where she has spent most of her time since 2014.  It is here where she feels she has finally connected to her true self.

Jeanette has a happy outgoing personality.  Her talents go beyond the canvas.  She is also a skilled violinist and pianist.  In 2019 she received multiple awards: to name a few, she was given the honor to represent Sweden in the “Respect -Noble Queen of the Universe” Pageant, where she was given an award as " Ambassador Queen of the Environment"  On January 30, 2020, she was awarded as a FORBES “Outstanding Woman International Artist”. On December 17, 2021, she was given the award of “Advocate Queen of the Universe”. These achievements only served to inspire her more to improve and perfect her craft and her art.

In South Sweden, she was exposed to explosively elaborate and colorful skies, land- and seascapes. Her emotions and “heart” can be seen in her early works.  Her imagination comes from her everyday experiences with people, and from her dreams.  She absorbed much inspiration from the Skagen Painters of Denmark such as Koyer, and Michael Ancher.  The Filipino artists Jeanette loves and looks up to are Olazo, BenCab, Aguilar Lacuaz, and Amorsolo, to name a few.

Her latest collection, called “Futuristic with Love” reveals structured yet jazzy artistic and musical expressions.  Jeanette’s love for people has given her an outstanding ability to observe her clients’ needs.  The ability to express these insights by listening to her intuition makes her deliver just what the audience needs and wants.  She takes each client to heart as an inspiration, then pores her feelings onto the canvas.  This strength by observation is evident in all her works.

Jeanette’s works can be found and seen in many countries – in Sweden, Italy, Austria, Germany, Japan, the Philippines, South Africa, Mozambique, India, and the USA (Miami, Naples, New York, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Charlotte, and San Diego).  She has participated in 39 Group Exhibits and 7 Solo exhibits in the Philippines, and one in the United States.

Mediums & Educational Background

Mediums: Acrylic and Oil on canvas –Previous: Impressionistic realism, ceramics, and clay sculpting, mixed media – small and large scale Murals.
Present: Surrealism, Minimalism with Suprematism and Modern contemporary technique.

Educational Background:
Focused on Art and Music throughout all levels of education.
Age 7-20 I received private music education from famous Czechoslovakian Professor Zdenek Gola in violin. Piano lessons age 10-15.
Accompanied in six orchestras over the years.
Music teacher for hundreds of students, in USA, Sweden, and the Philippines.
Conductor of the Indian River Youth Symphony Orchestra in Florida-USA
Graduate in Economics and Business in Helsingborg, Sweden.
